Arsenal for Dummies

30 years ago; 1984 to be precise, i was 'inducted' into the 'Arsenal family' by a pure stroke of luck. My dad came home with a copy of 'The New Shoot!'; a football magazine. I was particularly intrigued by the story of Arsenal's striker Paul Mariner; a farmer's boy who grew up to play for his boyhood club Arsenal. A farmer's boy! that is how my 10 year old mind grew in awe and admiration of Paul Mariner and Arsenal. From then on, i took it upon myself to follow Arsenal. Don't forget there was no internet and more crucially, growing up in rural Uganda, there was definately no television. So how did i keep myself abreast with Arsenal one might ask. It is a journey that has made me the unflinching fan of Arsenal Football Club that I am today. My indepth knowledge of AFC owes its foundation back to those days when i had to scratch for news to feed my hungry mind about AFC. My frustration with modern day Arsenal fans is that despite the oodles of information sources, majority still choose to feed on tabloid drip drips. I am dedicating my resources to 'educate' such hapless fans about the history of this great club. Enjoy!!
